European Diversity Truck promoting Diversity in Malta

The Truck comes to Malta and makes its stop in Sliema, next to the Fortizza on June 15th, during which  there will be an evening of live entertainment co-hosted by popular singer / Malta’s Diversity Ambassador Miriam Christine and radio personality Jason Zammit from XFM. This event, on the Truck stage, will definitely give the occasion a sense of celebration and features a line-up including Chiara, Klinsmann, Chasing Pandora, Quacks and more.

As well as the live show which starts at 8pm, the programme will also consist of early evening activities starting at 6pm, including the Truck Game Show, a Karaoke challenge, a Truck Rally and more. In addition, there is the chance to of winning some great prizes like iPods or tickets for Bryan Adams in concert.

The Truck Tour event in Malta will also feature the following activities:

Interactive Mobile Ability Park:
Aimed at creating awareness of the barriers people with disabilities face in everyday life, the Mobile Ability Park invites visitors to master a fixed course in a wheelchair, overcoming obstacles such as curves, narrow passages, stairs and a seesaw. Visitors can also challenge themselves to identify sounds, smells and objects of everyday life using limited senses.

Truck Rally:
Combining the features of the Mobility Park and a quiz, the Truck Rally provides a fun opportunity to learn more about the truck and its features. Participants can form small teams to answer a range of questions based on the “For Diversity. Against Discrimination.” and “European Year of Equal Opportunities for All” campaigns, and complete several other challenges.

Diversity Song Contest:
Visitors will be asked to participate in the live karaoke contest on the truck stage, performing songs from the Diversity Karaoke Sampler CD. Popular hits like "Respect" by Aretha Franklin and "People are People" by Depeche Mode are sure to entertain the crowd. Tune in and enjoy the show!

"Breaking Stereotypes" poster exhibition:
Last year, the European “Breaking Stereotypes” Poster Competition encouraged hundreds of art and design students from across the EU to send in creative designs that raised awareness of diversity and discrimination issues. This year, truck visitors have the opportunity to inspect the 20 top entries selected by the jury and get more information on this year’s "Breaking Stereotypes" Photo Competition.

Truck Game Show:
What do you know about the European Union, anti-discrimination policy and the “For Diversity. Against Discrimination.” campaign? Truck tour visitors can prove their knowledge through this live quiz show taking place on the truck stage. Two teams of three compete against each other, employing strong teamwork and a quick hand.
